Our New Roof

So this week we had a couple of guys totally strip three layers of shigles off the roof and then put on all new shingles.  This is the bare roof.
Here's the new one.  We'll spare you the mess in between.  (Still think we should have done it as a family but mom didn't want me on the roof.)  It looks great and was the best choice.

  1. Looks good, probably was best that you weren't up there.

  2. Hooray for a new roof! It definitely looks great. Also, those shingles are interesting. Do they sort of change in shade depending on the light? I’m pretty sure that new roof is going to hold up really well against really strong rain. What was the old roof made of, by the way?

  3. Was there any particular reason you had to get your roof replaced? Were they damaged or just really old? It’s a good thing you got your roof fixed because we got some pretty bad weather last year! I hope your roof held up too!

  4. Awesome! The black roof adds to the strong appeal of the wall’s blue color. Three layers of old shingles must have been difficult to remove and replace, but I guess you weren’t that tired since it’s a family job. You see, this very seldom family gathering can make the family bond stronger too. :) By the way, I hope you don’t keep grudges against your mom when she didn’t allow you to go on the rooftop. She’s just thinking of your safety.
