Some more fun pictures to share

Another smaller steam engine

Yes, they had more than just John Deere ( Loved the old trucks)

An early stationary JD engine

Some painted saw blades that mom loved (Look out, Michelle!)

Oh, by the way: Yes, Marie, they did have ice cream back in the day!!!!!!!

Our latest adventure

Last June we heard about this Antique Tractor Show so we made the effort to save the weekend. We went up Friday after work to be there on Saturday. (Needless to say, it was a great day!)

This is a Model B John Deere from around 1947. I grew up with one just like it; we always used it to mow hay and other light work.

An earlier version of the B series.

An early model A.

All day this old Case Steam Engine was driven around blowing its whistle; it sounded like a train was coming. Here they were hooking it up to a belt to drive another machine, like a harvester. That's what they originally used them for.

HAPPY EASTER

So what does the Easter Bunny do with the eggs when there are no kids to hide them from????

So the other day Mom and I were walking the dog and came across a house that they had put eggs on there flowers out front for Easter. Mom thought it was great but we weren't sure how to on ours since they are a diffrent type of flower. But Sunday morning we found that the Easter Bunny had a way.

Well, it's finally happened.

So it seemed like every day I had off for the last month it would rain and I couln't start my garden. Then there was the weekend in Vegas that set it back another week. Finally last week and this week the weather has been great, so I pulled out the old John Deere plow. After a couple of runs with the plow and ox the ground was turned over in the back forty.

In the front too.

Then after several trips to the dumpster and a few passes with the Jonh Deere and disk the ground was ready to go. My new potaoes finally got planted Saturday evening.

Here are the onions growing so straiaght and tall after just one week. It feels good to be getting it in and fun to watch it grow. You gotta love it! Plus I have good equipment to make it happen.

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas

It took me awhile to get this up. A couple of weeks ago Marie had a basketball tournament in Vegas. We called the kids and whoever could make it spent the weekend in Vegas (unfortunately Marie's team lost when we got there so there was just one game) but that gave us more time to play.
This is in front of a waterfall infront of The City Center Casino.
On the stairs at the City Center shopping mall.,

My new friend at the aquarium at the Siverton Bass Shop
.

Same place

Bad picture of the ice sculptors
but just goes to show, despite the advertisment, "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" sometimes it can be a family memory!!! Thanks everyone it was a great weekend; love you all.
